Congressional App Challenge
New Mexico is an amazing home for technology, and our kids are in a great position to learn more and take advantage of our state’s unique and important role in the national tech space. There are too few students learning tech skills to keep up with increasing labor demand, and that gap will only widen if we don’t get our kids involved from a young age. That’s why I’m inviting middle and high school students to join my district-wide Congressional App Challenge. By participating, students will learn to code, manage a project, and have an opportunity to have their app displayed at the national level.
The 2020 Congressional App Challenge will take place June - November in which students will form teams and create unique, one-of-a-kind apps that seek to offer new solutions. All students who live or attend school in New Mexico's first Congressional District are eligible to enter.
A complete outline of competition rules can be found here.
