Congresswoman Deb Haaland endorses Shane Morigeau for Montana State Auditor
Congresswoman Haaland joins Congresswoman Sharice Davids, and Rocky Mountain Tribal Leaders Council in endorsing Morigeau
MISSOULA — U.S. Representative Deb Haaland (D-N.M.) joins Congresswoman Sharice Davids, Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, Fort Belknap Indian Community Council, Northern Cheyenne Tribal Council, Superintendent of Seattle Public Schools Denise Juneau, and Rocky Mountain Tribal Leaders Council in endorsing Montana state representative Shane Morigeau for Montana State Auditor. Congresswomen Haaland and Davids are the first two Native American women ever elected to the United States Congress. Congresswoman Haaland has quickly become a leading voice for veterans, affordable and quality healthcare, public lands, bipartisanship, public education, and reducing income equality.
“No American should face poverty, bankruptcy, or death because of a lack of affordable healthcare. Having grown up in a low-income family in rural Montana, Shane understands how vital affordable healthcare is to Montana’s working families.” said Deb Haaland.
“Shane embodies the selflessness that makes a great public servant. I urge Montanans to vote for Shane and elect him as your first Native American State Auditor.” said Deb Haaland.
“Congresswoman Haaland always puts people over profits. I’m honored to be endorsed by someone who shares my values of protecting our public lands and outdoor heritage, building up working families, and challenging corporate dominance over our health.” said Shane Morigeau.
Shane Morigeau is a lifelong Montanan, a member of the Salish and Kootenai Tribes, and a graduate of the University of Montana School of Law. Morigeau is committed to ensuring that Montanans have access to quality affordable health care, defending access to Montana’s public lands, promoting business growth, and cracking down on insurance and investment fraud.
