Haaland Announces 2020 Congressional Art Competition Winners

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Today, Congresswoman Deb Haaland (NM-01) announced the winners of the 2020 Congressional Art Competition. Out of more than 30 submissions, she announced the overall winner, whose art will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year, and the second place winner, whose art will be displayed in the Congresswoman's office in Washington, D.C. The third place winner, the People’s Choice Congressional Art Competition winners and honorable mention pieces will be displayed in Haaland’s District Office in Albuquerque. 

 

In addition, Haaland worked with the City of Albuquerque Public Art Urban Enhancement Division to provide an amazing opportunity for the winner to showcase their talent through a public art project. 

 

“This year’s art was an outstanding example of our students' creative talent and the diverse voices that make up our state. I congratulate every student who participated, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them in our state’s creative economy,” said Congresswoman Deb Haaland.
