Haaland to Participate in Hearing On Shutdown Effects on Tribes, Public Lands

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Deb Haaland will participate in a Democratic Steering and Policy Committee and House Natural Resources Committee hearing on the government shutdown effects on Native American tribes and public lands across the country. At the committee hearing, members will hear from public land managers and witnesses from Indian Country who will describe the impact the government shutdown has had on their communities and America’s most treasured public lands.

The special committee hearing on the government shutdown effects on tribes and public lands will be held in HC-5 in the Capitol and live streamed here at 11am ET/ 9am MT.
