TODAY: Haaland to Approach Unanswered Questions on the US Park Police's June 1 Attack on Peaceful Protesters at Lafayette Square

Washington, D.C. – Tuesday, July 28, 2020 Congresswoman Deb Haaland, Chairwoman of the National Parks, Forests, and Public Lands Subcommittee, and the Committee on Natural Resources will hold an oversight hearing titled, Unanswered Questions About the US Park Police's June 1 Attack on Peaceful Protesters at Lafayette Square.

This is the second hearing in the Committee’s ongoing investigation into the events of June 1, 2020,when multiple federal law enforcement agencies – under supervision of the U.S. Park Police (USPP), part of the Interior Department – beat and tear-gassed unarmed, peaceful protesters at Lafayette Square across the street from the White House. Full video of the Committee’s June 29 hearing is available here
